Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside company that supplies that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Henry County Criminal History does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be kept for the time needed to answer it and maintain the related correspondence. Messages remain within the operating team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Loading a page can cause the server to receive basic technical and usage details:
- Page-view dates, times, and visit duration
- The referring website, when one is reported
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages opened during the visit
- The device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help show, in aggregate, which pages are used and where visits end. Analytics providers assist with that measurement. A browser can reject cookies, although some features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Route a search request to the selected outside provider
- Maintain reliable and responsive site operation
- Measure which resources visitors use
- Find and repair performance or technical faults
- Deliver advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Henry County Criminal History does not keep, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes routing information for the Henry County Sheriff, Circuit Court, Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS Central Repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Public agency access is governed by the Missouri Sunshine Law in RSMo Chapter 610 and criminal-history dissemination rules in RSMo §43.527, not by this privacy policy. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not turned into consumer reports or third-party dossiers.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted to one of those tools is governed by that company's privacy terms. Each provider chooses its own retention and disclosure practices, which are outside this site's control. Review the applicable policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to courts, sheriff pages, Missouri agencies, legal resources, and outside search services. Once a visitor leaves Henry County Criminal History, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read it before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may use activity from more than one website to select ads. That processing occurs on the advertiser's systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Analytics vendors that measure traffic and performance
- Outside providers that process a submitted search query
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so the site cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request can be made.
Your Data Rights
Missouri consumer-protection law, including the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act in RSMo Chapter 407, may provide rights that depend on the facts and a visitor's location. Available requests may include:
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask what personal data is held
- Object to certain processing where the law permits
- Seek deletion of eligible personal data
